Sharifa Raouf is a distinguished fashion designer and the visionary founder of The House of Couture, a premier luxury bridal and custom fashion boutique located in the heart of Walnut Creek, California. Originally from Afghanistan, Sharifa holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and brings over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry in the United States.

Her journey began as an Assistant Designer to renowned bridal designer Anne Barge, where she refined her expertise in couture craftsmanship and design. Over the years, her artistry has graced clients nationwide — including custom designs for The Miss USA Pageant — reflecting her passion for elegance, individuality, and timeless beauty.

At The House of Couture, Sharifa specializes in custom-made bridal gowns, evening wear, and bespoke men’s suits, each crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using only the finest fabrics and hand-finished techniques. She also designs bridesmaids’ dresses, special occasion gowns, and full wedding party attire, ensuring every client enjoys a cohesive and personalized fashion experience.

Beyond her signature creations, The House of Couture proudly features the Pronovias Priveé Collection and Oksana Mukha, for which it serves as the exclusive Northern California retailer.
